The Drastik Measure News Room – Announcing the launch of new RPG Regions of Ruin on Steam Early Access

The following is a press release by POYSKY PRODUCTIONS AND PHANGD

New 2D pixel side-scrolling RPG, financed by Humble Bundle, is the flagship title for indie developer Vox Games

San Francisco, CA October 5, 2017—Nearly a year in the making, Poysky Productions and Phangd are pleased to announce that the flagship title for indie developer Vox Games, Regions of Ruin, launches today, October 5, 2017 at 6 a.m. Pacific time. Financed by Humble Bundle, Regions of Ruin is a 2D pixel side-scrolling RPG with town-building, where you explore, fight, and build into an open world that progressively challenges you and your settlement, and threatens the extinction of the dwarven race. The game is available on Steam Early Access and can be purchased in the Humble Store.

Recognizing the exceptional talent of lone Vox Games developer Stephen Lucerne, Poysky Productions and Phangd are excited to be able to deliver an epic adventure that certainly belies the short stature of its protagonists! Regions of Ruin features challenging foes, epic loot, an engaging story to uncover, intimidating bosses and more. Planned post-launch content also means that the Early Access launch is only the beginning of the adventure.

Regions of Ruin takes the player on a journey through an epic storyline, where the fall of the dwarven empire is revealed and you must rebuild your settlement from nothing but a simple camp fire. Through loot, gear, and skills, you must strengthen your hero to take down challenging bosses, uncover the past, and rescue your enslaved dwarven brethren. Will you restore your people to their former glory? Or join your forefathers in the dust-covered pages of history?

Alexander Poysky, Executive Producer for Poysky Productions, expressed his excitement for how Regions of Ruin has evolved and what it brings to the table: “I got involved with ROR on a whim. I discovered Stephen by pure chance, and after playing a very VERY early build I saw the raw potential. Molding it has been without a doubt the most satisfying, fun, and exhilarating experience in my professional career.”
