200% Mixed Juice is a JRPG developed by Orange_Juice and published by Fruitbat Factory. Using characters from other Orange_Juice games and creating a whole new world with them, 200% Mixed Juice brings hilarity to the table. Seriously, though, the game is one joke or pun after another with added crazy situations and a protagonist named Protagonist. Duh, duh, duhhhhhhhh. The game is small, both in space it takes up and in resolution, but makes a pretty memorable impression. Many thanks to Fruitbat Factory for the review key!

Visually, the game is not really that impressive. It’s small in scale and the controls feel a tad clunky with the small resolution. While I could harp about that, I’d rather not, as it’s pretty negligible with how fun the game can be. Audio-wise, the music can be annoying, but still memorable and it only gets annoying if you lose a lot of your matches. *cough* As I mentioned above, the controls are a bit clunky, but that’s mainly because the keyboard controls for the game are the “Z” key for confirmation and “X” key for cancelling things, as well as the up and down arrow keys for directions. The fighting mechanics are fun enough, though, as it is “Rock, Paper, Scissors” in game form!

It’s not much of a streaming game for me, but trying to get all the cards was fun. Oh? I didn’t mention it? 200% Mixed Juice has a collectible card game feel to it as you collect partners to fight with you. As Protagonist, you gain friendships the best way you can… BY BUYING FRIENDS OUT THE SCHOOL STORE. *cough* You aren’t the most social protagonist-named-Protagonist in this game. In order to help with that, instead of getting friends in the start of the game, you are able to buy and collect cards that will fight for you. They won’t talk to you, but at least you can fight. The dialogue before and after fights can be some of the absolutely funniest scenarios I’ve read. They made me go “WAT?” Yes. Without the “h”. Which this game also has no H-scenes (in case you were wondering) and makes due with gut-busting dialogue, instead.

200% Mixed Juice is certainly a game that deserves to be played. It feels like an old Pokemon game, but you actually really are collecting cards and using them to fight others… IN SCHOOL! As random as this game (and this review) is, it’s a very delightful game in your spare time or to play with others, as it does have multiplayer function. (Unfortunately, I didn’t get to test this feature, since not many of my friends have the game.) At $6.99 USD on Steam, 200% Mixed Juice is a good buy, ESPECIALLY if you’re a fan of the Orange_Juice style of games.
